The Hundi
Two years of coins in a clay pot, one hammer, and a folded note that was not money.
A boy feeds every coin he gets into a red clay hundi on top of the fridge and waits two years for the birthday it is allowed to break. His friends at school have already decided how much is inside. When the hammer comes down, there is more in the pieces than coins.
