The Monkey and the Crocodile
A Panchatantra story: one river, one rose-apple tree, and a monkey who left his heart at home.
Raktamukha the monkey shares his rose-apples with a crocodile and they become friends. Then the crocodile's wife asks for something no friend should ask for, and the monkey finds himself in the middle of the river with only his wits to help him.
