The Pond Day
A fight with a bigger boy, a whole day under the banyan, and a notice nobody opened.
A class four boy has been told by a bigger boy that tomorrow he will see him, so he walks right at the turning instead of left and spends the day alone at the pond. He comes home at four and says school was fine. His mother, cutting vegetables on the step, has a few things to tell him about that day.
