Start at part 1

The Araku hills have swallowed the ghat road whole after a sudden monsoon deluge, leaving a film crew stranded without supplies or a clear path forward. Their only savior is Anbu, a weary but experienced trekking guide carrying a single dying torch and a map that seems to shift when he blinks. But he isn't alone: Kavi, his sharp-eyed rival who vanished into the rain earlier, has reappeared with a second torch and a grudge. As they navigate mudslides, collapsed bridges, and the encroaching dark of an uncharted valley, the line between rescue and betrayal grows thin.

Two short paragraphs describing the early arc without spoiling past Part 2: The crew begins to fracture as fear sets in, with some wanting to risk dangerous shortcuts while others cling to Anbu’s cautious route. Kavi starts dropping subtle hints that the map might be wrong, or worse—that the landslide isn't random but guided. By the second part, a narrow ridge path collapses underfoot, sending a camera operator tumbling into a ravine, and only Anbu's quick thinking saves him from drowning in the rising floodwaters below. The reader begins to trust Anbu not just as a guide, but as the one person who truly understands these treacherous lands.
