Start at part 1

In the humid alleys of Guntur, Sub-Inspector Laxmi Reddy retires with the weight of a closed case still burning in her chest: the disappearance of her father, a small-town police officer who vanished during an investigation into local sugar magnates. The case was sealed within days by superiors eager to move on, leaving only a stack of unsigned reports and a single, unexplained photograph of a boat dock at night. Now, driven by a letter found tucked inside the file, she returns to the city that once felt like home but now feels like a cage of secrets, determined to know exactly what her father saw before he disappeared.

What begins as a routine review of cold records soon unravels into a web of family vendettas, hidden loyalties, and a shadow organization operating under the guise of legitimate trade. Laxmi's methodical return to every witness, every crime scene, and every forgotten alley reveals clues her father likely missed in his haste: a torn receipt, a whisper overheard at a tea stall, a pattern in the mud. As she digs deeper, she discovers that the case never truly closed—it merely went underground, waiting for someone brave enough to pick up the thread again.
