Three And Two
His father's knock on the window, three and two. Four months after the funeral.
In the kazipet railway quarters, a loco pilot always knocked on his son's window when he came home from night duty: three knocks, a stop, two knocks. He died on his engine in march, and the boy stopped sleeping. In july the boy asks his best friend to stay the night, because the knock has started again.
